1.  “9-11 Truth makes HUGE appearance at Los Angeles Anti-War March

It wasn’t long before he came back with four more gentlemen, one of whom began barking at us about a mish mash of reasons why we had to go to the back of the march, and Bruno explained to him why we did not. “Was I done talking?! Dont interrupt me! I am not done talking,” the agitated man barked. Bruno says. “We dont really want to hear what you have to say.” One of the gentleman said to us that our message is not conducive to the message of the march, so Bruno asked them all “What reason did Obama give for the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen?” “We dont want to have a conversation about this.” “The reason he gave was because of 9-11! Our message is THE anti-war message. There is no message that is more important to the anti-war movement than 9-11 Truth.” You could see what looked almost like shame on their faces, as they had nothing to say in dispute.”

2.  There’s a surprise:

“US deaths double in Afghanistan as troops pour in”

3.  “CIA paper reveals plans to manipulate European opinion on Afghanistan

‘Out-of-the-box’ CIA think tank proposes concerns over women’s rights, fear of terrorism as ways to boost support for Afghan war

Evidently spooked by the collapse of the Dutch government over the country’s involvement in Afghanistan, the CIA has put together a strategy proposal to prevent what it fears could be a “precipitous” collapse of support for the war in Afghanistan among European allies.

A document marked “confidential / not for foreign eyes,” posted to the Wikileaks Web site, suggests strategies to manipulate European public opinion on the war, particularly in France and Germany.”

4.  “Thai troops retreat in face of 80,000 protesters”

5.  Classy:

“Chertoff Joins Defense Firm that Defrauded U.S.”

6.  Good:

“Special relationship between UK and US is over, MPs say

The UK government needs to be “less deferential” towards the US and more willing to say no to Washington, a group of MPs have said.”

7.  When I was 12, my family rode the QE2 to Europe in 1973:

“A SENIOR IRA commander has described how he used the QE2 to smuggle guns and explosives from New York to Britain in the early 1970s.

Brendan Hughes, one of the provisionals’ first quartermasters, said he boarded Cunard’s flagship to remove caches of Armalite assault rifles and hand grenades that had been stashed by sympathetic members of the 1,000-strong crew.”

8.  Silly:

“US justifies drone attacks in Pak as act of ‘self-defence’ ”

9.  “Foreign control of large swathes of the Sinai Peninsula obtained through fraud and Israeli involvement”
