1. Nano-thermite made by government before 9/11:
“once you get in a few pages, most notably to page 16, you see them implicate Los Alamos and explain that they have developed nano-thermite, and that they have achieved “burn rates 1000 times that of conventional powder mixes.” That is a HUGE smoking gun in my opinion, it basically states in these few pages exactly what Dr. Jones and his colleagues have found – the size, the composition, and the reactive qualities of what was found in the WTC dust. Not only that, but since this is a paper describing experiments and findings, this material has (obviously) never been used until this point commercially. That means to get your hands on this or to create it yourself, you need an intimate understanding of nano-chemistry and processing. This is incredible, to me, because it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt what was used and who developed it. The paper is dated 2001.
…
it confirms nanothermite and nano-sized explosives as being fact, not fiction. Developed in 2001. And it points directly to Los Alamos which has affiliation with the Department of Energy.
Great. I’ve run up against naysayers and ‘debukers’ who have rejected the nanothermite evidence in the WTC dust because they say that nano-thermite is B.S.
They can eat some crow now. “

2. “AP continues its position as government megaphone
In an article today, AP says: “Mohammed will not be allowed the satisfaction of seeing the devastation he wrought–the concrete flatland at Ground Zero.” How can AP be so sure this man is guilty of what he is charged with? Does it have a crystal ball? Isn’t that what trials are for–to sift through the evidence and determine guilt or innocence? What is this assumption of guilt by a news organization?
Looks like AP just made the justice system obsolete – ask them and they can tell you if OJ did it, who killed Kennedy and anything else the “nutjobs” might be researching. Next thing you know, they will start peddling the idea that al-Qaeda infiltrated Los Alamos and stole the brand-new-for-the-time nano-thermite and spread it all over the towers. Only so Ghouliani could say he knew they were gonna fall because of jet fuel…”

3. “Iraqi Christians Seek Return, Sense Extinction
While it might sound a bit hyperbolic, there is no denying that the Christian minority in Iraq is slowly bleeding out, even as U.S. lawmakers justifying their support for the invasion of Iraq – such as Senators John McCain, Joseph Lieberman, and Lindsey Graham – insist the United States military made that country a better place to live.”

4. “The Independent outlined details more sordid than we need to repeat here, but suffice it to say that some sick British puppies pulled stunts that compare to what we know about our own shenanigans at Abu Ghraib and need to be put down.
How do these things happen in supposedly disciplined armed services of supposedly civilized, enlightened nations?
There is a depraved, bigoted, small-minded segment of every society, and any country’s military is bound to reflect that. Take a look at how successful right-wing hate radio and Fox News are in America. Lamentably, the people who fall for the fear-and-loathing media madness tend to be the people who line up to join our military.
Militaries also tend to foster a sense of moral irresponsibility. Decisions concerning life and death and war and peace get made “above my pay grade.” Questioning ethically iffy policies isn’t good for one’s military career. A lot of congenital bullies achieve high rank (one might well argue that being a congenital bully is a requirement of achieving high rank). When the boss is a bully, being the bully’s accomplice becomes the key to success.
…
We don’t so much find them as make them. We have military academies where cadets and midshipmen spend their first summer learning a laundry list of senseless rules and spend the next four years learning to break them without getting caught. You couldn’t design a better system to foster moral ambiguity. That Christian fanaticism is promoted at the academies makes things even worse. (A senior Catholic chaplain told me, when I was a senior officer, that going to mass and receiving sacraments would “enhance” my military career.)”

6. “At Least One Central Bank Held Fake Gold
True, as Mike Hewitt points out, a Chinese company boasts about making gold-plated tungsten:
A coin with a tungsten center and gold all around it could not be detected as counterfeit by density measurement alone … We are well accustomed to exploit more innovative applications of tungsten products. Gold-plated tungsten is one of our main products.
But there is no evidence that gold-plated tungsten has been used as a counterfeit.
However, we do know that at least some gold held by central banks is fake. For example, as the BBC noted last year, some 90kg of gold held by Ethiopia’s central bank was really gold-plated steel.”
